Billable Hours

My "day job" is a freelance video editor. I edit everything from short films and features to docs, demos, reels,

and promo pieces. I've got lots of local references and a well equipped studio, which provides a comfortable

and professional environment to work in for you and your clients. I can also travel as schedules permit. My reel

on DVD will be mailed at your request.

Want Your Own Final Cut?

If you want help setting up your own editing system, I do that for people, too. For years I've written about hardware

and software for lots of industry magazines, and I'm really up on what's out there. I work with you and your budget

to put together a system that will work for you, from low-end basic to high-end uncompressed systems (Mac only).

Student Section

I teach Final Cut Pro and digital filmmaking techniques, privately and in classrooms. In the summers I teach at

Stanford University (and elsewhere) with the Digital Media Academy. This year I will teach an advanced class

in Final Cut Pro, a Digital Storytelling production class, and a course in Digital Documentary Filmmaking.

Private lessons and consultations are also available. And of course, there's always The Book:

The Digital Storyteller's Handbook
