Home Fine Dining The Eye of Rudra Modern Life What? Who?
Dean Mermell, Speed Levitch, Piki Chappell
Storyfarm
Storyfarm is a group of dedicated professionals who like to tell stories with heart. Yes, it's basically
an adhoc production company made up of some very talented good friends that gets together when
there's a film or something, and we make good stuff happen. In addition to our core members, we
draw upon a small pool of some great local freelancers to assist us with our projects. Hey, hire us!
DEAN
MERMELL (dean@storyfarm.com)
I'm a digital filmmaker, teacher, composer, and freelance video editor. I've been known to direct
and I also write about digital filmmaking, too. Please email me for a current bio or a reel on DVD.
One thing I absolutely never do is play keyboard in the world's most powerful Tom Jones band.
I have no idea who that guy is. How could I possibly invest myself in that kind of frivolity?
FRED ADLER (fred@citiscape.com)
Fred is an incredible physical actor and fountain of world changing thought. Fred plays the
Keaton-esque character in Modern Life. In the Eye of Rudra, he actually says: "Once you can
understand and visualize, you know, hyper-dimensional physics, you can actually move to the next
dimension." I've been helping Fred produce his interactive I Ching now for years, and it's just
about ready...watch the trailer I made for Ask Qatar here: Ask Qatar

DANA CASTRO (danacastro@earthlink.net)
Dana is the kind of awesome producer that can get everything done perfectly without pissing
anybody off. Dana produced our (very demanding), award-winning short, Fine Dining.
GAEL FIRTH (peyotepictures@hotmail.com)
Gael is a dynamic producer and bringer of joy. Gael produced our award winning short,
Modern Life, and is currently producing and directing her own pet project with
favorite pet, Speed Levitch.
PIKI CHAPPELL (www.pikichappell.com)
Piki is a composer, musician, digital audio artist and engineer. His specialties
include film scoring, recording, mastering, and live performance work.
TAMIR KARTA (tkarta@zebra.net)
Tamir is a motion graphics artist and special effects supervisor, specializing in After
Effects and its integration with live action, as well as the creation of titles.
JOSH HAGLER (WWW.JOSHHAGLER.COM)
Probably the best storyboard artist in San Francisco, Josh's illustrations, paintings, and
rampant creativity stop everyone dead (or very much alive) in their tracks. If you dig
around a little on his sumptuous website you'll see some work in progress for Storyfarm.
SPEED LEVITCH
Star of the groundbreaking DV documentary The Cruise and master of the cosmic schtick, Speed
is an honorary member of storyfarm. His appearance as a sort of one man Greek chorus in
The Eye of Rudra gives the kind of context to a film about chaos that a director can only dream of.
He has slept on my couch.
